Introducing The Young Talons Homeschool

At The Young Talons homeschool we believe that every child's birthright is the natural rights of life, liberty, safety, education, and the ability to grow in the pursuit of happiness. The Young Talons homeschool envisions a future where children's liberties are realized the way our forefathers intended. Providing holistic child support through partnership while keeping them from Government overreach

The Young Talons is a dba of The Huggins Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, providing for the basic needs of children, from education to health, food, and clothing. The current focus of our organization is on education readiness, and we run a homeschool program that provides school supplies in a packed backpack for parents and teachers in the U.S. to discreetly distribute to students in need. Future programs, planned and in the process of ramping up, include initiatives to provide children with clothing, food and medical support, as well as the development of The Young Talons University and international Young Talons support.

The Young Talons founders were mentored for years--starting in the 1970’s--by a prominent government official who believed in the inalienable rights protected by the United States Constitution. He started a charitable foundation with a strong belief that youth are our future leaders, entrepreneurs, and society builders. He understood that basic needs for food, clothing, safety, medical support and education must be met for youth to enter society with the strength, dreams, and abilities to contribute productively; this foundation and its visionary creator were the inspirations for The Young Talons.

Our mentor kept a statue of an eagle with outstretched wings and claws on his desk. The statue was called The Young Talons. That eagle symbolized his mentees, and he would often explain to us that the statue represented the need for support for youth to be able to take flight and be successful in life. Later, he gave that statue to us, and it became the inspiration for the name of our organization and spirit of our vision. His strong understanding of and belief in the United States Constitution as a foundation for basic rights and equality drove his mission and serves as the basis for our work today.

Since its inception in 2020, The Young Talons continues the traditions espoused by our mentor with programs and initiatives designed to ensure that constitutional rights and freedoms are met by serving underprivileged youth, and the belief that this support serves to strengthen and enrich society. With access to a level playing field and equality, children can realize their rights to basic needs for food and housing, safety, health, and education and can grow into productive and successful members of society.

We’ve spoken to world leaders at the United Nations in New York about our plans for The Young Talons, and because of our mentor’s position in the U.S. government, we are privileged to be able to draw on a strong circle of influence on our path to help children. However, we need everyone's support to completely fulfill our mission, and thus we look for and welcome partners and supporters who share our vision.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

It’s simple. Our mission is to help educate children. Fulfilling this mission is the complicated part, and the reason we need donors, partners, volunteers, and sponsors. We have a mission to help underprivileged youths enjoy a level playing field as they enter society. We want to ensure they have what they need to prepare themselves for future successes, from food to clothing to education. We work where the needs are most urgent, with organizations and volunteers invested in seeing that the basic needs of children are met today so they have a brighter future tomorrow. The Young Talons recognizes that the youth of our nation and of the world are our future CEO’s, governors, inventors, scientists, medical researchers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and world leaders. The end goal of The Young Talons’ mission is therefore societal leadership preparation.

Vision

Child safety and upbringing is not just a right, it is the foundation of our future. The Young Talons' homeschool vision is for youth to benefit from a level playing field, enjoying the protection of their constitutional rights and freedoms as outlined by our country’s founding fathers, and assured of having their basic needs met, to the benefit of all.

We believe children and youth have a right to basic wellbeing as the foundation of the rights to the pursuit of happiness and freedom protected by the Constitution and we work to provide that wellbeing where it’s lacking.

Our motto is: Championing each child’s liberty with personalized medical, educational, and economic advocacy. We believe that young adulthood is a time of growth, learning, and exploration for young American dreamers, as well as a time of significant change and intense challenges. The Young Talons is here to help. We hope you want to help too.
